To whom it may concern: When we decided to buy land in Cape Breton, one of our biggest concerns was finding qualified workers to help us turn the house on the property into our retirement dream home. Not only were we new to the area, we would have to accomplish the task long distance, through a combination of phone, e-mail, and sporadic visits to Nova Scotia from our home in Atlanta, Georgia. I found Creative Interiors through an ad in the Cape Bretoner Magazine. From our opening conversation I knew that Carol Myers understood my goals for the house, and after our first face-to-face meeting, I felt comfortable giving her the project of designing a space plan for the entryway and awkwardly-placed addition which included a large open area that had previous been home to an in-ground swimming pool. She came back with a design that connected the addition to the rest of the house and established a unified flow between the two areas. Besides a newly created “hobby area,” Carol’s plan gave us a bedroom, sitting room, office, and large storage closet, as well as a master bath with sauna, custom double vanity, and huge walk-in closet. Carol’s design made use of every inch of the space while taking advantage of existing plumbing and electrical—saving both time and money on construction and installations. Our satisfaction with that project led to future assignments. In the past nine month period we have had Creative Interiors handle interior design, furnishings consultation, as well as design and construction of custom pieces of furniture for our Cape Breton home. We have found Carol’s creativity and resourcefulness combined with Frank’s quality workmanship and attention to detail to be an excellent blend of talents. Add to that the fact that my phone calls are always answered promptly, and my invoices are not only fair, but hold no “surprises.” For all these reasons I would recommend others to consider Creative Interiors when they are searching for professional design and build services.
